Protest staged

IMPHAL, Jan 9: DPUVO, Nambol, Nambol Apunba Nupi Lup and Street Vendors' Lup staged a protest today on the roadside of Nambol Keithel and shouted slogans demanding the inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in the scheduled tribe list.
The protest has been carried out as a part of the ongoing demand of the Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee of Manipur (STDCM) to include Meitei/Meetei in the scheduled tribe list to provide constitutional security, said a press release by STDCM.
