3 recoveries, 1 new case reported

IMPHAL, Oct 1: The State reported 1 new COVID-19 case and zero covid related fatalities during the last 24 hours.
The only case was reported from Tengnoupal and as it was found positive for COVID-19 while testing 155 samples, the daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.6 percent. With the addition of this new case, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,39,812.
As no new covid related fatalities were reported, the death toll stayed at 2148 as of today.
Three individuals were discharged today after completion of surveillance leaving 7 active cases, all from the general population, as of today. The recovery rate is now at 98.46 percent.
Yesterday, 548 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered at various vaccination centres across the State. With these, the State had vaccinated 62.44 percent of its eligible population with the first dose of the vaccines while 54.71 percent had received their second doses. 2,67,190 individuals had also received their precautionary doses till yesterday.
