IMPHAL, Oct 14: The valedictory function of the training programme on 'Business development planning and marketing for PACs' was held today at the conference hall of the Institute of cooperative Management (ICM), Lamphelpat.
The training programme was organised by ICM in collaboration with Manipur State Co-operative Bank Ltd under the sponsorship of NABARD, Manipur Regional office (under cooperative development fund for comprehensive support plan).
The function was graced by Thounaojam Chaoba, the first Chairman of ICM Imphal; P Ranjit Singh, Manipur State Co-Operative Bank Ltd president and Khoichung Rangamlian Aimol, Director of ICM as the presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest, Th Chaoba appealed to all to make collective efforts for a developed society and enhanced economy.
Emphasizing the importance of co-operative societies in the development of a State, he appealed to the farmers to take loans from co-operative banks for their betterment and to repay it at the appropriate time.
He also maintained that the Institute of cooperative Management, Imphal is one of the prestigious co-operative institutions in NorthEast India.
