IMPHAL, Oct 18: The valedictory function of training programme on 'Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive Care Program' was held today at TeleICU Hub, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat.
Speaking at the occasion, Director of Health Services, Dr Kh Sasheekumar Mangang stated that 16 doctors and 9 staff nurses have been imparted training during the Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive Care Program which began on August 30, 2022.
He appealed to all concerned to put into action the knowledge imparted during the training while treating the patients and their betterment.
The Director further informed that it has been aimed to install TeleICU machines in the 16 districts of the State.
TeleICU has been functioning properly in six districts of the State, he added.
He went on to opine that treatment facilities will be improved to a great extent with the opening of these TeleICUs where treatments are being provided for free.
During the program, Assistant Professor, Dr Rakesh Nongthombam reviewed the 10Bed ICU Project Manipur while a documentary on 10 Bed ICU Impact was screened by Tedawnshim Khaling, Unibrow Studio.
Certificates were also distributed to the doctors and nurses who attended the program.
