5th New Era Week: Prize Distribution cum Teachers' Day celebration held

THOUBAL, Oct 22 : New Era Higher Secondary School's "5th New Era Week: Prize Distribution cum Teachers' Day Celebration" was held on Friday at the auditorium hall of the school.
Dignitaries present at the event include  Dr Chingangbam Sarat Singh, Chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur as the chief guest; Th Kumar, principal, New Era Higher Secondary School as the functional president and Ch Biren Singh, Secretary, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur and Khaidem Binodini Devi (MES), Zone-III Thoubal AI of School as the guests of honour.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr Chingangbam Sarat  underscored the importance of being educated, in the sense of becoming a well-rounded, practical and morally sound individual and not simply pursuing a formal education.
As a part of the function, the guests of honour released the school magazine, 'Khonthang'.
During the function, Green House was declared as the champion of the various sports, cultural and literary competitions conducted as part of New Era Week.
Prizes in the form of memento, certificates, trophies and cash awards were also distributed to winners of Miss New Era and Mr New Era titles, best student of the year 2022, teachers, non-teaching staff and the top ten students of every class.
 The students also presented various cultural programs to the delight of the gathering.
