Trainee Union protests transfer of i/c Principal DIET Chandel

CHANDEL, Oct 26 : The 17, 18 & 19 Batch Pre-Service Trainees Union today organised a protest denouncing the transfer of HB Thanison Anal, in charge Principal of DIET Chandel   to DIET Kakching as a Lecturer.
Speaking to media persons, W Simon, general secretary of the union informed that in an order issued by M K Ayao, Under Secretary, SCERT, Manipur Government on October 14, HB Thanison was transferred to DIET Centre Kakching as a Lecturer while DIET Centre Moirang Lecturer, W Indrajit Singh was transferred to DIET Centre Chandel as in-charge Principal.
Denouncing the transfer order, he continued that HB Thanison Anal has been carrying out his duties amicably and effeciently as an in-charge Principal of DIET Chandel for more than 14 years.
He then urged the Government and authorities concerned to revoke the transfer order and instead promote HB Thanison as a regular Principal of DIET Chandel.
Simon also mentioned that the Union will send memorandums in this regard to Chandel MLA, SCERT Director, Commissioner and other authorities concerned.
Placards with slogans such as, "We want smooth and peaceful administration", "We don't want our principal to be transferred as a lecturer", "We are with our principal", "100% against transfer", etc were used at the protest.
