DMC Arts claim title of 1st DMU Inter College Men's Football tourney

IMPHAL, Oct 28 : DMC Arts emerge champions of the inaugural edition of 1st DMU Inter College Men's Football Tournament organised by Dhanamanjuri University at DMC Science playground.
DMC Arts clinched the title with a 4-3 beating of DMC Science today after playing out a 1-1 normal time draw.
DMC Science enjoyed a 1-0 first half lead through Joshua Haokip goal in the 19th minute but things came to level terms when Ngaminlun hit the equaliser for DMC Arts in the 52nd minute.
Despite efforts from the two sides to find the winner, the normal time ended in a draw and eventually the winners were decided via kicks from the penalty mark where DMC Arts scored three goals against two by DMC Science.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was graced by Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, Vice Chancellor, Dhanamanj-uri University; Dr M Bhubaneshwari Devi, Principal, DM College of Science and Dean, School of Science, DMU and Dr RK Chandra-kumar Singh, Director Sports, DMU as dignitaries.
