Wakhallon Mannaba Apunba Kangleipak honours Dr Hamom Naba

Wakhallon Mannaba Apunba (WAMA), Kangleipak felicitated Dr Hamom Naba during a simple event held at his residence today at Takhel Leikai.
A press release by WAMA said that a team of WAMA went to the residence Dr Hamom Naba today and honoured him with a shawl for being conferred the All Manipur Matam Ishei Kanglup (AMMIK) Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledging his immense contribution in the field of Manipuri music.
The award was conferred to him during the 45th foundation day celebration of AMMIK and 19th Manipur Matam Ishei Day held on Friday last at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy auditorium.
It may be noted that Dr Hamom Naba is the current advisor of WAMA and was the Chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM). He is also the former principal of Budhachandra College.
President of WAMA, Moirangthem Naokhomba Meetei; vice president, Waikhom Gojen Meetei and secretary general, Paonam Thakaba Meetei along with the members of WAMA were present in today's occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, Moirangthem Naokhomba Meetei  congratulated Dr Hamom Naba for receiving such a prestigious award and wished him success in all his future endeavours.
He expressed belief that Dr Hamom Naba will continue to contribute for the upliftment of Manipuri as well as work for the welfare of the society.
