Liquor seized

JIRIBAM, Oct 6: A special mobile patrol unit of Jiribam police seized 201 boxes of Indian Made Foreign Liquor and beer while checking a truck near Leingangpokpi outpost at around 6.30 pm yesterday.
The items seized by the patrol unit included 528 bottles of Magic Moments (180 ml), 72 bottles of Magic Moments (375 ml), 36 bottles of Magic Moments (750 ml), 3600 cans of Kingfisher and 816 cans of Tuburg.
The driver of the truck identified as Vikaskumar Tiwari (37) s/o Uma-shankar Tiwari from Raipur, Chhattisgarh was also arrested at around 7 pm and he was handed over to Excise Office, Jiribam along with the seized items.
Meanwhile, 648 boxes of IMFL and beer were seized by Bishnupur commandos while checking a truck at Bishnupur Forest Gate. The truck was coming from Jiribam via Khoupum. The items seized from the truck included 93 boxes of McDowell (375 ml), 99 boxes of McDowell (180 ml), 12 boxes of Royal Stag (180 ml), 64 boxes of Kingfisher, 180 boxes of Old Monk (750 ml) and 200 boxes of Kingfisher and Tuborg (cans).
