Career counselling programme conducted

Centre for Skilling and Technical Support (CSTS) Imphal, CIPET and District Skill Committee Pherzawl jointly organised a career counselling and awareness programme on "Placement Oriented Skill Training Programme & Entrepreneur-ship Opportunities in Petrochemicals Sector" at Sadbhavna Mandap, Parbung, Pherzawl District yesterday.
It was attended by Tipaimukh AC MLA and Ngursanglur Sanate; SDO Tipaimukh, I Dinesh Kumar.
As part of the event, Irom Ranjit, Technical Officer (Training) CIPET and Nepoleon Khwairakpam, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF), Pherzawl also interacted with the participants to clear their doubts & concerns.
The huge job placement and entrepreneurship opportunity for the educated youth and dropouts in the district after completion of their training courses at CIPET was discussed.
Many in the audience stated that they were unaware that Training Courses and Programmes which were fully sponsored by the Government for economically and socially weaker sections even existed and hoped to enrol the youth in such courses.
Similar career counselling session was also held at Pherzawl High School on November 10.
The team also visited Tinsuong and Lungthulien to interact with youth leaders and raise awareness on vocational training programmes.
The events were coordinated by MNGF Pherzawl with the support of the District Administration, Pherzawl.
