MPA observes 35th raising day

IMPHAL, Feb 9 : The Manipur People's Army (MPA), the armed wing of UNLF, observed its 35th raising day by conforming to the standard operating procedures (SOP) of COVID-19 at its general headquarters and battalions, today. 
A press release issued by M Sak-hen, deputy secretary of publicity of the outfit said that the main function which was held at MPA general headquarters was graced by MPA's military affairs committee cum UNLF chairman NC Koireng, vice chairman, N Thabal and COAS M Chaoba.
Several UNLF's Central Committee secretaries and members such as Y Abo (secretary of Agriculture & Environment), O Chingkheinganbi (secretary of Health & Family Welfare,  S Tamphajao (secretary of Publicity), Ksh Yoiheiba (secretary of Organisation) M  Munal (secretary of Finance), Thoitak Dingthoi Chiru Khuman (secretary of Minority Affairs) M Iboyaima (CC member), K Puyaning (CC member)  MPA VCS L  Khongnangthaba, general staff officers, NCOs, privates and director of different departments of the outfit also attended the function.
The raising day was also observed at MPA 293 Bn, Tactical Unit, CSF, External & Regional Affairs HQ, units and other Task Force units.
The main events of the raising day were the observance of a 2 minute silence to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the freedom struggle of Manipur, hoisting of MPA's flag by the COAS, reading out of a paper, announcement of the names who have been given new responsibilities and discussion of the MPA's role.
UNLF and MPA extended gratitude to all the people including media persons who  assisted in making the raising day a success.
