Flag hoisting ceremony held

IMPHAL, Feb 18
The flag hoisting ceremony of RK Amusana Singh, the joint candidate of Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council and Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance from Khurai Assembly Constituency was held today.
As per a press release from MSC/CPI, RK Amusana Singh while speaking on the occasion said that he will work selflessly for the economic upliftment of the youths of the constituency in particular.
Expressing concern over the economic crisis of the people of the constituency and the problem of unemployment among the youths, he appealed to all to vote for CPI which strives for the wellbeing of the working class.
Today's flag hoisting ceremony was attended by the Congress Party, Manipur In-charge and MP of Rajya Sabha, Jairam Ramesh, vice president Tongbram Mangibabu, Comrade L Sotinkumar, State Secretary CPI, Sarat Salam of CPI (M) and Comrade Gyaneshor of Forward Block among others.
Addressing the gathering, Jairam Ramesh said that the alliance of Congress and CPI has been formed in order to save the masses from the dictatorship governance of BJP and expressed belief that the alliance will form Government after the forthcoming election in the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Comrade L Sotinkumar stressed that CPI is the only party which can save Khurai AC and lead the people towards the right path of development.
Stating that Khurai AC is reeling under the pressure of corruption and other related problems owing to incompetent leadership, he appealed to all to vote for RK Amusana to bring in a developed constituency, added the press release.
