All Manipur Nupi Marup condemns

All Manipur Nupi Marup (AMNM) has strongly condemned the Thoubal District Magistrate Court for granting bail to the six accused in connection with the murder of Ningthoujam Rohit Singh on Tuesday. It may be noted that Ningthoujam Rohit was shot dead by a group of armed assailants on December 22 last year in front of his father.
Not only Rohit but his father was also shot by the assailants in a bid to leave no trace for such heinous crime.
In a statement, AMNM questioned why Thoubal Police had failed to recover the murder weapon even after three months and further questioned if powerful individuals might be behind this.
Decrying the judgement, All Manipur Nupi Marup stated that this will bring about an increase in violent activities in Heirok AC and added that a free and fair election cannot be conducted in the constituency in the face of such a judgement.
