Director of Relief & Disaster Management, Manipur, KG Daigong has shared  details of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA)/DA located at the concerned district headquarters who are required to disburse the ex-gratia assistance of Rs 50,000 to the next of kin of Covid victims.
As per the notification, the DDMA/DA of each concerned district consists of the Deputy Commissioner (chairperson), Adhyaksha/ADC Chairman (co-chairman), Superintendent of Police (Member), Chief Medical officer (member), Executive Engineer, PWD (member), District Supply Officer (member), Addl Deputy Commissioner and Addl District Magistrate (chief executive officer).
The notification further informed that each district concerned has constituted  a committee who will be responsible for issuing the official documents/certification of COVID-19 deaths  in the State. This committee will consist of the Addl District Collector, Chief Medical Officer, Addl CMO/HoD, Medicine of a medical college and a subject expert, added the notification.
