Residential Coaching Camp for Wheelchair Basketball from Apr 18

IMPHAL, Apr 10 : The Wheelchair Basketball Association of Manipur (WBAM) is set to organise a 5-Day Residential Coaching Camp from April 18 to 22, said Md Yunus Khan, general secretary of WBAM in a press meet organised at Manipur Press Club today.
The camp is organised in line with the First North East Zonal Wheelchair Basketball Tournament to be hosted by WBAM here in Manipur from April 23 to 24, Yunus said.
Sports enthusiasts with locomotor disability and wheelchair friends whose hands are functional, may take part in the coaching cum State team preparation camp, he said.
Wheelchair athletes intending to take part in the camp may submit documents viz-Aadhar Card, Disability Certificate, two stamp size photographs along with contact details to the general secretary of WBAM or  treasurer L Sanatomba or through district leaders of State Platform of Disabled People's Organisation (DPO) Manipur, he added. While seeking support from Government and all sections of the society in making the camp successful, Yunus Khan also expressed confidence that YAS Department will effectively translate RPWD Act 2016 into action and ensure all possible assistance.
