CHURACHANDPUR, Apr 13: As many as 238 BSF recruits from the 237 batch of STC BSF passed out today during an impressive ceremony after completing rigorous training for 44 weeks.
The perfectly rhythm parade of new recruits who joined the country’s Border sentinel today was inspected by Mridul Sonowal, IG STC BSF in the presence of Chinglensana Singh Kangujam, an Arjuna Awardee and Indian hockey player at the Satish Yadav Parade Ground, STC Churachandpur.
Addressing the recruits, Mridul Sonowal appreciated the excellent display of confidence and coordination during the passing out parade.
Congratulating the high standard of training imparted to the jawans, the IG urged all the recruits to serve the nation with all sincerity and dedication.
The 44 weeks of quality training, the proficiency they gained in handling different types of weapons, firing skills, law, drill, and border management will come handy during their actual deployment as the atmosphere will be different from the training atmosphere, said Sonowal while adding that training actually is a continuous process and should never stop.
The recruits were administered oath of service and loyalty by Sitaram Yadav, Deputy Commandant while Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Commandant, accorded greetings to the guests.
The fascinating parade was commanded by Constable Raju Singh.
After the Passing Out parade, colorfully choreographed and synchronized Manipuri folk dance performances and a skillful band & jump show was performed by PT & UAC wing of STC BSF.
The new recruits are set to fan-out across the country to join their respective battalions in all frontline duties.
