Indian team with Bhusan Haobam win Junior Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Final Qualifier

IMPHAL, Apr 16 : Indian Tennis team comprising Sajid Lodi (Captain), Rushil Khosla, Debasis Sahoo, Bushan Haobam scripted history by winning Junior Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying 2022 event for the first time in RK Khanna Tennis Stadium, New Delhi today.
India won 2-1 to top the qualifying event of the prestigious tournament.
In the first singles event, Bhusan Haobam went down 3-6, 6-3, 2-6 to Japan's Naoya Honda but Rushil Khosla helped India recover by beating Yuta Tomida 6-3, 3-6, 6-0.
Bhusan, pairing up with Rushil Khosla, redeemed himself in the doubles event to secure a 6-3, 6-8 win against Japanese pair of Naoya Honda and Yuta Tomida and handed India a 2-1 win.
