Thadou Trophy Football : Dr NMT, HYA, FC Concord book quarter final berths

KANGPOKPI, Apr 25: The round of 16 of the ongoing 4th Thadou Trophy commenced today at Saparmeina public ground after a week's break owing to the deplorable ground condition due to rainfall in the past few weeks.
Dr Nehginpao Memorial Team (Dr NMT) sailed through to the quarterfinals after a narrow 1-0 win over Tahchapa Football Club in the first round of 16 match today.
Jessy played a pivotal role with his 67th-minute goal to give Dr NMT the first quarterfinal spot.
In the second match, Ngambom's hat-trick (5', 8', and 80') earned Haipi Youth Athletic an easy 3-1 win over TYPOM to book the second quarterfinal berth in the tournament. Lunginthang scored the solitary goal of TYPOM in the 47th minute.
In the third match, FC Concord overwhelmed Phaikoh Football Club 3-0 to book quarterfinal ticket thanks to S Tuboi's goal in the 5th-minute and Alen's brace in the 10th and 31st minutes.
Tomorrow, Kuki Football Academy will play United Saparmeina Youth Club in the fourth round of 16 match while Leikot Area Youth Organization will play Saikotjang Youth Club in the fifth match (last 16) and Minaopa Football Club will play HLMT, K.Gamnomphai in the sixth match (last 16).
