No Shumang Leela

IMPHAL, Apr 3 : M Purnimashi Leima, president, Manipur State Shumang Leela Council (MSSLC) has stated that all drama troupes under the Council will halt presentation of Shumang Leela in view of the upcoming Class X and XII examinations slated to commence from April 5 and 7 respectively.
This statement was made by M Purnimashi Leima during a press briefing held today at Shumang Leela Sanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal.
She also informed that previously scheduled plays will be presented after the said examinations conclude.
The president of MSSLC further said that 'Shumang Leela Numit' will be observed on April 12 at Shumang Leela Sanglen, Palace Compound.
She called for people's support towards sumang leela artistes and the Shumang Leela artform.
