Youth's residential training camp kicks off

IMPHAL, May 13: A four day youth's residential training camp 'Sthanik Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir' commenced today at Mem Higher Secondary School, Airport road.
The camp has been organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Manipur Vibhag.
The inaugural function was graced by Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam, MLA of Patsoi Assembly Constituency Sapam Kunjakishor Singh, Administrator of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, T Asha Devi and Sanyojak of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Manipur Vibhag, Dr S Kulachandra Singh as the presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest, Govindas K lauded Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Manipur Vibhag for organising such a training camp for the well-being of the youths in the State.
Recounting the significant contributions of Swami Vivekananda who strove for the welfare of youths and to make them self-reliant, the Minister said that if today's youths follow his footsteps then the country will be a developed and peaceful one.
Addressing the gathering, Sapam Kunjakishor Singh appealed to the youths to make the best use of the training camp and follow the teachings and knowledge of the resource persons and experts.
