Keke Wahengbam wins Influential Personality of the Year award

IMPHAL, May 15 : Manipuri International University (MIU) has presented the 'Most Influential Personality of the Year 2022' award to Keke Wahengbam, former announcer of All India Radio Imphal, a cancer survivor.
The award was presented by the Vice-Chancellor of MIU Dr Harikumar Pallathadka during the 'One day consultation meet on knowing Mother Tongue from Indigenous Perspective' held yesterday at the conference hall of MIU at Ghari, Airport Road.
The one day consultation was organised by MIU in association with the Manipur State Commission for the Scheduled Tribes, Government of Manipur.
The award was conferred to Keke Wahengbam acknowledging his efforts and courage and how he survived cancer which he penned down in a book titled 'Ei Amadi Cancer' (I and Cancer)
Also the publisher of the book Bobo Khundrakpam was honoured by the varsity and presented him with the National Appreciation Certificate-2022.
