Anti Terrorism Day observed

KAMJONG, May 22
Chassad Batallion under the aegis of IGAR (South) observed National Anti-Terrorism Day by conducting an awareness programme at Aishi village, Kamjong district today.
The awareness programme was organised for youths and locals of Aishi, Kultuk and Molvailup villages, a statement from IGAR (S) has informed. Over 65 students, youths and locals including women and children attended the event.
As part of the lecture, the audience were given insight on the effects of terrorism and violence on people, society and Nation as a whole. The locals were also reminded of the sacrifices made by thousands of soldiers who have fought against terrorism. The locals took a pledge to have abiding faith in the country’s tradition of peace, non- violence and oppose all forms of terrorism and violence.  The lecture was followed by an interactive session during which various queries of the locals were answered.
