IMPHAL, May 25 : The JAC formed against the 'custodial death' of Arambam Nanao has urged the authority concerned to  award life imprisonment to accused Sub Inspector  Th Jitendro and asked  why the post mortem report of the deceased is not made public till day.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, JAC advisor Chongtham Iboyaima continued that Arambam Nanao died on May 2 last and his port mortem was conducted on May 5 but the family members of the deceased are still waiting for the report.
Claiming that Nanao died right in front of police and his family members after being brought from the police station on May 2, he claimed that the act of the authority concerned is suspicious.
Iboyaima then urged all concerned to furnish   the report at the earliest and take strong action against SI Jitendro.
Family members of the deceased also appealed to the State Government to understand their plight so that they could look after the children of the deceased.
