GMT referrer assaulted

IMPHAL, May 5 : A number of people who deposited money in Grow Manipur Team (GMT) assaulted one referrer of the  private finance company at Hiyangthang Mayai Leikai today.
It is reported that W Simeon was strangulated and hit at the ears by the angry depositors who barged into the former's residence at  Hiyangthang.
W Simeon is undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital.
Speaking to media persons, Simeon said that they (referrers) have been put in a difficult position after the founder of GMT Pukhrem Michael and his associates went into hiding.
He then appealed to the State Government to produce Michael and his associates so as to address their grievances.
It may be mentioned that Michael and seven other persons were arrested in May last year by Bishnupur police for collecting a large sum of money by running a ponzi like scheme.
