IMPHAL, May 7 : The Judi-cial Magistrate, First Class Imphal West II  on Friday remanded one woman to five days police custody in con-nection with the suspicious death of Samom (ningol) Ninthoujam (ongbi) Ching-kheinganbi on April 21.
Accused Ningthoujam ongbi Jamini (48) w/o (L) Ibungo of Khordak Awang Leikai is the mother-in-law of Chingkheinganbi and she was arrested on May 5 in connection with the case.
She was produced before the Court yesterday by a team of Mayang Imphal police station along with a prayer for five days police custody remand.
As per the IO of the case, the victim collapsed while having lunch at around 3 pm on April 21 and she was taken to Raj Medicity but the doctors there declared that she was brought dead.
During investigation, it was learnt that the victim's husband Ningthoujam Bijando tortured the deceased by conspiring with his mother most of the time and as such Chingkheinganbi stayed at her parental home for around three years.

The Court after hearing the IO of the case and on perusal of the case record remanded the accused mother-in-law to police custody till May 10.
It may be mentioned that Ningthoujam Bijando was also remanded to six days police custody by the same Court on May 5.
