Mother's Day

IMPHAL, May 8 : As in other parts of the world, MBC Centre Church celebrated Mother's Day at Chingmeirong, today.
At the observance, Laishram (ongbi) Mary from Kairang Maning Leikai was conferred the Mother of the Year 2022 title. She  is 65 and  has six children (two sons and four daughters) with Laishram Thambalmacha.
The award was distributed by the  chairman of MBC Men Society, Kh  Ibotombi.
The gathering led by Pastor of MBC Centre Church Rev Zuankamang Daimai sang hymns and sought blessings from Lord Jesus while Children of Tabitha Children Home performed a play "A tribute to mothers.'
While addressing the gathering, Rev Zuankamang Daimai said that  mother's love toward their children is unconditional and to make her feel special is 'our duty.'
Saying that every husband should also treat their wife with utmost respect and be kind to them, the Pastor maintained "we all  must acknowledge the contribution of women to their families."
"There is no love like a mother's love," he added.
