Valentina named for ADAM Envt Award

IMPHAL, May 8 : Valentina Elangbam, the girl who won the hearts of the people after a clip of her crying on seeing a fallen tree went viral on social media, has been chosen as the winner of ADAM Environment Award 2022.
The award which carries a cash incentive of  Rs 10,000, memento and certificate will be given on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5 at Angaan Ching Eco Park, Kakching.
Notably, Valentina Elangbam was also appointed as the brand ambassador of CM's Green Manipur Mission in 2020.
The initiative began in 2006 and was held every two years. It, however, was halted three times in the last seven years due to certain reasons.
The past winners of the award are Dr Kh Shamungou (2006), MMTA (2008), AMWJU (2010), Wangkhem Mangi (2012) and CRED (2014).
