State team for National Level Yoga Olympiad leave Imphal

IMPHAL, Jun 15 : Directorate of Education (S) has officially flagged off an 18-member State team for the 8th National Level Yoga Olympiad-2022 to be held from June 18 to 20 at NCERT, New Delhi from its Lamphelpat office.
The State team include 8 students each representing the Upper Primary Section (10 to14 year- Class VI to VIII) and Secondary Section (14 to 16 years- Class IX to X) and two officials.
The athletes representing Manipur in the Upper Primary section include- Yaiphaba Ningthoujam of Wangkhei HS, Naorem Mukes Kumar of Malom Megha HS, Mangal Laishram of Wangkhei HS, Surkumar Longjam of Yurembam HS, Phurailatpam Silvia of Malom Megha High Shool, Yambem Thasana of Cosmopolitan High Shool, Kshetrimayum Lanchenbi of Practising Junior High School and Angom Rajni Chanu of Wangkhei High School.
Meanwhile players representing State in the Secondary section are- Dineer Naorem of Yumbimacha High School, Ronaldo Thiyam of Model Higher Secondary School, Sivananda Thiyam of Model Higher Secondary School, Ngangom Luwang Meitei of Praja High School, Nandita Ningthoujam, Oinam Girl's HS, Shadokpam Babyrose of Meitei Mayek HS, Aleena Hirom of Wangkhei HS and Sweety Khagembam of Malom Megha HS.
The team were led by M Madhusudon, PET of Directorate of Education (S) as manager cum coach for boys and S Surnalata Devi, G/T (Hindi) of the Directorate of Education (S) as manager cum coach for girls.
