AYUSH evening OPD at UPHC, Langol Tarung

IMPHAL, Jun 17: For the first time in Manipur, evening OPD for AYUSH was opened at Urban Primary Health Centre at Langol Tarung in Imphal West district today.
Speaking at the inaugural function organised by the State Health Society, National Health Mission (NHM) Manipur, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Imphal West, Dr Priyokumar Salam said that AYUSH evening OPD has been opened as an initiative of the incumbent State Government and as per the instructions of the Ministry concerned and appealed to all to avail the benefits of the initiative.
While enumerating the benefits of AYUSH treatments, he  maintained that the evening OPD is opened considering one's hectic schedule when it becomes difficult to take out time to attend to medical needs.
He went on to state that AYUSH discipline has less or no side effects and it helps in curing a number of ailments and this particular branch of medicine is gaining popularity and is being liked by many.
The evening OPD will be opened on all working days except holidays from 2 pm to 6 pm, he added.
Today's programme was also attended by State Nodal Officer, NHM (AYUSH), Dr Benedict Maring and SNO, National Urban Health Mission, Dr Swarup Rani as the presidium members.
