Transport Union, Tongjel Maril Old Cachar Road has urged the State Government to upgrade the Tongjei Maril Old Cachar Road to the status of a National Highway.
In a statement, Transport Union, Tongjel Maril Old Cachar Road shared that the road has been greatly damaged due to repeated passage of heavily loaded trucks over time. Adding that the aforementioned road is a heritage road, the Transport Union has appealed to the Government to elevate it to the status of a National Highway by initiating necessary upgradation measues.
