Mishap claims one

IMPHAL, Jun 25 : One individual was killed when a truck carrying timber met with an accident on the road from Kasom Khullen to Yairipok this morning.
It is suspected that the driver lost control of the truck as he negotiated a turning near Khoibok bridge, around 20 Kms away from Yairipok and the truck plunged into a river.
Even though one man travelling in the truck was killed, the driver escaped with injuries.
The deceased is suspected to be one Amu but the details of both the deceased victim and the driver could not be ascertained till the time of filing this report.
It is said that the deceased has been buried under timbers.
