Gerinda Loitongbam conferred with National Women Excellence Award 2022

IMPHAL, Jun 3: Gerinda Loitongbam of Lalambung Makhong Takhellambam Leikai has been awarded with the prestigious National Women Excellence Award 2022 presented by National Academy for Art Education (NAAE), Pune.
The Award was conferred in recognition of her campaign on 'Crime Against Women'.
The award was presented to Gerinda Loitongbam by Sanjeev Pendharkar, Director VICCO Laboratories, Mumbai during a function held on May 31 at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Andheri West, Mumbai.
Gerinda who is a Science graduate had been on a solo car drive from Imphal to Delhi in 2019 under the theme 'Crime Against Women'.
She is the eldest daughter of Johnson Loitongbam and Loitongbam Ongbi Somi Devi.
