2nd Ningshing Lup State Open Polo Tournament concludes

THOUBAL, Jun 4 : The 2nd Ningshing Lup State Open Polo Tournament organised jointly by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association and Tekcham Polo Club came to an end today with P Manaobi Memorial Polo Club, Tentha lifting the tourney title.
In the final match of the 11-team tournament which kicked off on May 7, P Manaobi Memorial Polo Club beat hosts Tekcham Polo Club 4-3 for the top honours.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was attended by Khangabok AC MLA, Okram Surjakumar; former CCF of Forest Department, Th Mahendra Pratap and retired Head Master, L Shyamo as dignitaries.
Speaking as the chief guest, MLA Surjakumar said that the grazing lands as allotted by the State Government for the conservation of state ponies are not enough to sustain and stressed on the need of increasing the grazing grounds with consultation of polo enthusiasts and pony lovers.
Surjakumar also expressed gratitude to have witnessed such a tournament in Tekcham.
