Search operations conducted

IMPHAL, Jun 5 : As part of the preventive and security measures, a team of Imphal West Commando carried out cordon and search operations in different locations of Imphal West district on Sunday.
A cordon and search operation was carried out at Singjamei Chinga Mathak area today morning by a team of Imphal West Commando led by Inspector P Achouba OC Imphal West commando under the command of M Amit, Additional SP Operation.
During the operation, around 20 houses were searched and 70 individuals were verified.
Later in the evening, the same team also conducted a cordon and search operation at Alu Gali of Thangal Bazar side covering Dharmasala, Ema Keithel, Kasturi crossing  and Yaima Store stretch.
Out of the total 135 persons verified during the operation, 5 persons were detained as they failed to produce proper identity proof. They were later handed over to the City Police Station for proper verification.
