IMPHAL, Jul 9 : A sit-in protest staged today at Telipati condemned the murder of one non local who used to supply grocery items by some assailants at Uchol Chingjin yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Shailendra Shah (32) from Bihar.
Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the protest demonstration, bro-ther of the deceased Teslal Shah asked the assailants to clarify the motive of killing his brother.
He also said that the mortal remains of Shailendra would not be claimed until all assailants are brought to book.
Saying that no monetary demand was served against his brother, Teslal urged the Government to provide some compensation to the bereaved family.
The protesters should slogans to stop intimidating and killing civilians.
Shailendra was shot dead by unknown armed miscreants who came on an unregistered two wheeler on his return journey on the road stretch between Huikap and Uchol villages.
