187 new Covid cases added from July 4 Manipur sees sharp spike with 45 new cases

IMPHAL, Jul 11: Keeping with the recent trend of steady rise in the Covid-19 positive cases, 45 persons were confirmed positive out of 290 samples tested for the virus during the last 24 hours.
The daily positivity rate is 15.5 per cent.
The infected persons are residents of Imphal East (15), Imphal West (21), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (2), Churachandpur (2) and Chandel (2).
On July 4 Manipur logged 9 new cases, 17 on July 5, 22 on July 6, 22 on July 7, 22 on July 8, 23 on July 9 and 27 on July 10.
From July 4 till July 11, Manipur has added 187 new Covid cases.
However, there was no report of any Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic had claimed 2120 lives in the State.
Meanwhile, following recovery, 17 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (14) and Shija Hospital (3).
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has risen to 1,37,484 (general population 1,32,470 and Central security personnel 5,014).
This figure includes 172 active cases, all from general population and 1,35,192 recovered cases (general population 1,30,185 and Central security personnel 5,007).
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.33 per cent.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 29,84,478 (first dose 15,98,079, second dose 12,66,546 and precautionary dose 1,19,853).
Till Sunday, 62.01 per cent of the State’s total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 53.38 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
