Web portal launched

IMPHAL, Jul 11: MAHUD Minister Y Khemchand launched an online portal for registration and renewal of shops and establishments today.
Speaking at the web portal launching event held at the conference hall of Old Secretariat, Y Khemchand said the launch of the portal will enable the senior citizens to apply for registration or renewal of shop/establishment license from home without visiting the office of Imphal Municipal Corporation or Imphal Municipal Council. Such online portals will also help in strengthening the revenue sectors under IMC, he added.
Y Khemchand also lauded the NIC Manipur for successfully implementing the creation of the web portal which was put in the 100 days 100 works programme of the Chief Minister.
All urban local bodies should ensure that the public are made aware about the utility of such web portals, the Minister added.
The web portal launch programme was also attended by officials of MAHUD department and Imphal Municipal Corporation caretaker Mayor L Lokeshwor.
