39th Inter District and 66th State Open Badminton C'ship from August 7

IMPHAL, Jul 11 : The Manipur Badminton Association (MBA) is set to organise the 39th Inter District and 66th State Open Badminton Championship 2022 under the aegis of Badminton Association of India from August 7 to 12 at Indoor Stadium, DM College campus.
The Inter District championship will be a team competition in senior and junior (U-19) categories while the State open championship will see players in different age categories (U-9, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 and senior) compete in singles, doubles, mixed doubles events.
The entry for the tournament will be received from July 20 till July 25 and the last date of withdrawal without penalty is July 27 before draw on August 3, said MBA in a statement.
It may be noted that the winner of the inter district tie will be decided by best of 5 matches in both the senior and junior competition (singles, doubles of both the genders and a mixed doubles match).
Meanwhile in the State open championship, U-9 and U-11 boys and girls will compete only in singles competitions while U-13 boys and girls will be competing in both singles and doubles competition.
U-15, U-17, U-19 and senior players in the meantime will be competing in singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.
