MACS invites applications

Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) has invited eligible journalists based in Manipur to apply for the 2nd Manipur State AIDS Control Society Media Fellowship 2022.
In a statement, Haobam Rosita, Project Director, MACS has informed that this fellowship, with a duration of six months, is open to journalists working in print media with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Applications should be submitted latest by July 30 in a sealed envelope addressed to Project Director, Manipur State AIDS Control Society, New Secretariat, Western Block Annexe, Room No 212, it added.
Interested journalists are required to submit an application along with bio-data, a letter of support from the editor that the output under the fellowship will be published (mandatory for all candidates), a brief proposal outlining the subject and story ideas that the applicant proposes to focus on, if selected for the fellowship and to submit at least 3 samples of work published earlier on HIV/AIDS.
Freelancers are also eligible to apply for the fellowship, provided they fulfil the necessary conditions, the statement said.
It may be noted that two journalists will be selected for the fellowship who will receive a stipend of Rs 50,000 to support research, travel and writing in two installments.
