Dy Secy inspects border pillars

MOREH, Jul 1: A high ranking team of officials led by Ministry of Home Affairs Deputy Secretary Rahul Malik inspected Indo-Myanmar border from border pillar 79 to border pillar 81 yesterday.
The team included Joint Secretary (Home) Md Rehanuddin, Deputy Secretary Peter Salam, Deputy Secretary M Veto and Major Himansu of the Geographical Survey of India, Shillong.
Even though the team inspected the border pillars 79 to 81 till Kwatha Khunou, they did not make any comment on the contested border pillars or the controversial border fencing work.
