Quiz competition held

IMPHAL, Jul 7: A quiz competition on 'Integrated approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future' was held today at the auditorium of Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat.
The competition was organised by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt of Manipur.
Y Yaiskul Meitei, Commissioner (Science and Technology), Govt of Manipur, Homila Hongrei, Director, Department of Science and Technology, Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh, principal of Lilong Haoreibi College, Wakambam Suraj Singh, Director, Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency and Moirangthem Ramo Singh, Senior Scientific Officer, Department of Science and Technology graced the event as the presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest, Y Yaiskul Meitei emphasized on the need of conducting numerous activities such as quiz, exhibitions etc to spread awareness on Science and Technology and to enlighten the students in particular. He appealed to the students to take part in such activities and listen attentively to their teachers to enhance their knowledge.
The quiz competition was participated by 16 students and the winners were awarded with prizes and certificates by the presidium members.
