World Zoonoses Day observed

In line with the week-long celebration of World Zoonoses Day 2022, District Hospital and Office of CMO, Churachandpur District today organised an awareness programme at District Hospital, Churachandpur.
The programme was conducted with the support of Regional Coordinator, National One Health Program for Prevention and Control of Zoonoses (NOHPPCZ), Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal and under the aegis of NCDC, New Delhi.
It was attended by Dr Kim Simte, CMO, District Hospital Churachandpur; Dr Gojen, Joint Director, District Veterinary Hospital Churachandpur; Dr Khuraijam Ranjana Devi, HOD Microbiology, RIMS; and Dr Vanlankungi, MS District Hospital, Churachandpur as presidium members.
At the event, Dr Khuraijam Ranjana emphasized on the importance of coordination among health, veterinary, forest officials and public at district level to prevent and control Zoonoses in time.
Later, IEC materials were also distributed.
