Baby found dead

IMPHAL, Aug 22: Body of a newly born male baby was abandoned by an unknown person at the gate of one Ahanthem Surjit of Langjing Achouba near Appibom shopping mall at around 5.30 am today.
On receipt of the information, a team of Lamphel police rushed to the spot and collected the body.
They have deposited the body at RIMS morgue for post mortem.
Lamphel PS has also informed that if nobody comes forward to claim the dead body by 1 pm of August 25, it will be disposed off as an unclaimed dead body by following due process of law.
