DC Pherzawl chairs DSC meeting

Deputy Commissioner Pherzawl, Joseph Pauline Kamson today chaired a meeting of the recently reconstituted District Skill Committee (DSC) Pherzawl to get suggestions and inputs for preparation of the first District Skill Development Plan (DSDP).
During the meeting, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF) of the District gave a brief presentation on the importance and utility of DSDP.
It was followed by discussions on the present skill training provided by some NGOs in the district; and suggestions on potential sectors & products which need attention in the coming months/years for value creation. The meeting was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders in the District skill ecosystem- heads of relevant Line Departments, educational institutions, NGOs, Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) and other District Officers.
The stakeholders resolved to provide further inputs at the earliest in preparation of a holistic and actionable DSDP for the present Financial Year.
The meeting was coordinated by Nepoleon Khwairakpam, MNGF, Pherzawl.
