THOUBAL, Aug 28 : 32-Wangkhem Block Congress Committee today felicitated meritorious students of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency who secured good marks in year's Class X examination conducted by BOSEM at Social and Economic Development Organisation (SEDO) ground in Yairipok Bazar.
It was attended by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) treasurer & Khundrakpam AC MLA, Thokchom Lokeshwar; MPCC president & Wangkhem AC MLA, Keisham Meghachandra; Wangkhem Block Congress Committee president, Alhaj Keramat Ali; Yairipok High School retired headmaster, Keisham Joykumar; and Wangkhem Block Mahila Congress Committee president, Konsam Kunjamani Devi as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Thokchom Lokeshwar stated that it is essential to support such events conducted to motivate and guide the students who are future pillars of the Nation.
He also advised the students to work hard and follow the teachings of their parents and teachers.
During the event, position holders from Wangkhem AC namely, Cindrella Moirangthem (10) of Sacred Heart School Yairipok, Keisham Shageinganba Meitei (16) of Memorial Model School Yairipok, Thokchom Abinash Singh (16) of Peace And Freedom Academy Haokha Sorarel, and Sagolshem Kananbala Devi (23) of Khomdon Educational Blooming Institute Charangpat were felicitated.
Meritorious students selected from High Schools located in Wangkhem AC were also felicitated.
