Convict surrenders

IMPHAL, Aug 31 : Murder convict Khwairakpam Sanatomba alias Sanamatum who escaped from the premises of the Session Court, Bishnupur yesterday surrendered before the same Court today.
Convict Khwairakpam Sanatomba alias Sanamatum (50) of Ngaikhong Khullen Mayai Leikai allegedly escaped from Court complex before the Court was about to announce its judgment on trial case for murdering his wife on May 8, 2012 at Ngaikhong Khullen Auto Parking under Bishnupur police station.
After the surrender, the convict was handed over to the police station concerned from Bishnupur Court complex. The Court also fixed September 7 for sentence hearing to announce the quantum of punishment.
