Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 launched

IMPHAL, Sep 1: Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 was formally launched in the State today by Social Welfare Minister, Heikham Dingo Singh.
The nutrition awareness month is organised by the Social Welfare Department under the directives of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
As a part of the launching ceremony, a cycle rally carrying the message of a healthy society with special focus on women and children was flagged off from Kangla Gate by the Minister. The event was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare, P Vaiphei, Director of Social Welfare, Ng Uttam Singh, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and Department officials. Speaking at the occasion, H Dingo stressed on the importance of providing nutritious food to the infants and young mothers to strive for a healthy society.
