IMPHAL, Aug  31 : The Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association has warned the Government of a cease work strike from September 5 if their demands are not met before the said date.
The association, in a press release issued today, has raised 9 demands including cancellation of order transferring M Romen (Secretariat Assistant, GAD) to Manipur Bhawan Kolkata; to pay grade pay of Rs 1800/- to Group-D Secretariat employees; to pay grade pay of Rs 4200/- to caretaker; to pay grade pay of Rs 4600/- to ASO/SO and Rs 4800/- to PS; issuing order on payment of DA at the rate of Central Government wef from January 2023 as agreed upon; to discontinue the engagement/re-engagement of retired employees; to expedite the whole promotion process to immediately fill-up vacant posts; to release/clear all the retirement benefits and pensions and to scrap the National Pension Scheme (NPS).
The decision to launch a cease work strike on failure to meet the demands was taken at the executive committee meeting of the association held yesterday, added the press release.
