IAS/MCS play friendly football match with IPS/MPS

IMPHAL, Sep 10 :  A friendly football match between IAS/MCS and IPS/MPS teams was held at SAI, Takyelpat Artificial Turf ground yesterday afternoon from 3 pm.
It was an entertaining match which brought together the Civil Services team and Police Services team, who all are deployed in different corners of the State. It was attended in large numbers by members of both the services teams.
The match was organised under the guidance of Senior officers to continue the bond of friendship between the two services groups. The match also served as a get-together occasion for officers belonging to the State premier services.
The game started in an electrifying manner. Both the teams were evenly matched but it were IAS/MCS who found the net first and led right from the early proceedings through Angshim Dangshawa, scoring 3 goals and  another goal was scored by Sharath Chandra. Team IPS/MPS pulled a goal back through Gautam and another one through Augustine Khongsai.
Eventually, the first half ended with Team IAS/MCS leading by 4-2 goals.
In the second half Team IAS/MPS started strongly and scored another 2 goals through Dipu Gangmei. A penalty was awarded to Team IPS/MPS but they ended up hitting the post and the rebound was cleared to safety.
Both the teams played wholeheartedly and gave their best effort to score goals but the game ended withTeam IAS/MCS winning 6-2.
