YWC-Langthabal, KRYPHSA ease to second victories in 13th AMFA Senior Women's League

IMPHAL, Sep 11 : YWC-Langthabal thumped ICSA-Irengbam 3-1 as KRYPHSA-Naoremthong clinched a 4-2 win over YWC-Thambalkhong for their second victories in the ongoing 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the 14th match of the tournament, KRYPHSA who edged past MPSC 2-1 in the previous match for the first win , rode on Laishram Bibicha treble to seal the commanding 4-2 victory against YWC-Thambalkhong today.
The two sides were almost neck and neck in the opening half before the Naoremthong side enjoyed a slight edge in the later half.
KRYPHSA-Naoremthong started the game with a bang as Laishram Bibicha opened the scoring 5 minutes into the game before her team mate Ningthoujam Olivia doubled the advantage four minutes later.
YWC-Thambalkhong also fought back and pulled back a goal through P Kimnungsang Vaiphei in the 22nd minute but Bibicha scored her second to restore KRYPHSA's two goal cushion in the 26th minute.
YWC-Th also found another in the 31st minute to make it 2-3 before halftime. KRYPHSA dominated the second half proceedings while keeping their citadel intact and further extended the lead when Bibicha completed her treble in the 77th minute.
Eventually KRYPHSA won and extended their unbeaten run in the tournament to 4 matches.
Later in the day, YWC-Langthabal conceded a goal in the first half but made a scintillating comeback with Heigrujam Daya double to seal the game 3-1 and extend their unbeaten run to 4 matches (2 wins and 2 draws).
The lone goal for ICSA in the match was scored by Irom Priyadashini in the 29th minute before Heigrujam Daya who came off the bench during first half stoppage time equalised in the 51st minute.
Daya then completed the turnaround in the 66th minute before Remi Thokchom slotted home the final goal in the 75th minute.
